Motel Massacre is a free adventure title for PC by Third Eye Studio. It is a first-person horror game featuring PSX-style low-poly graphics and a unique presentation akin to a VHS tape. It follows the story of a serial killer on the run and a university student working as a motel receptionist.
Killer on the loose
In Motel Massacre, you’re a university student working in a remote mountain village. One day, a bus transporting a group of mentally ill patients crashes nearby, and one of them is a notorious serial killer named Dylan Potter. Thus, begins a nightmare wherein you must survive with a vengeful killer on the loose.
As Potter makes his way into your motel, the situation has turned for the worse, and you must do whatever you can to avoid getting caught and killed.There are two possible endings depending on how you play. However, the entire experience is short, with a typical playthrough only lasting between five to 10 minutes.
Survive the night
Motel Massacre is an interesting horror adventure if you like PSX-style games of old. It does a good job of replicating the dark and atmospheric feel, and the low-poly graphics and VHS-style presentation are spot on. While it doesn't last long, it's a short experience worth having all the same. Recommended.
